🇨🇦 Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP): Yes, We Accept It!

We’re excited to support the Canadian Dental Care Plan and we’re accepting all patients who are eligible.

✅ For most covered services, we do not charge the fee guide difference — so you won’t be hit with unexpected costs.

🔍 Some treatments like partial and complete dentures, crowns, bridges, and nightguards are not fully covered under CDCP. These services involve lab fees, and a fee guide difference may apply.

💡 If your CDCP coverage is partial (e.g., 60%), we’ll still need to charge the remaining 40% — but we’ll always let you know up front what to expect.

We’re happy to walk you through your coverage and help you understand what’s included before any treatment begins.

🧾 We Check Your Coverage — So You Don’t Have To

When you arrive at our office, our front desk coordinator Vanessa checks for any recent changes to your insurance. Behind the scenes, we also contact insurance companies at the start of the year to make sure everything is up to date — so you don’t have to chase down the details yourself.

We also encourage you to review your plan whenever possible. And if you’re ever unsure, just ask! Our team will gladly go over the details with you.

Once we know your insurance details, Dr. Hamad and our hygienist Kinza work together to recommend a treatment schedule that’s customized to your needs — especially for cleanings. Your gum health is always the priority, but we also factor in your coverage to make sure things stay affordable.

We’ll always make sure you’re informed, involved, and in agreement with the frequency of visits and any out-of-pocket costs.

📬 What’s a Pre-Determination? (And Why You’ll Appreciate It)

Before certain treatments, we send an estimate — called a pre-determination — to your insurance provider. This lets us confirm what’s covered, and what (if anything) you’ll need to pay.

💡 Important: These are not bills — they’re just insurance confirmations. You may see a response from your provider by mail, email, or through your insurance app. If you do, we’d love it if you could forward it to us!

This step helps us avoid surprises and makes sure you always know what to expect financially.
